Raymon Ray Graybeal, 90, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at his home with his loving wife, Betty Jo, at his side.
Born September 1, 1928 in Bel Air to the late William Henry Graybeal and Blanche (Farmer) Graybeal, he was an equipment specialist and HVAC mechanic at Aberdeen Proving Ground for 25 years, retiring in 1989. Mr. Graybeal served 6 years in the U.S. Army. Raymon loved country and bluegrass music.
He was a graduate of Bel Air High School, class of 1945; member of I.O.O.F Lodge #16 in Bel Air and Lodge #66 in Churchville; Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #27 in Havre de Grace, the Mason's Stephenson Lodge #135 A.F. & A.M. in Darlington; and the Harford Region Antique Automobile Club.
Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Betty Jo (Pettus) Graybeal; a step-daughter, Carol, wife of Niles Daly, Danville, VA; 3 step-grandchildren, Jenifer Daly of Greensboro, NC, Kamryn Simons of Summerfield, NC, and Mark Daly of High Point, NC; 3 step-great grandchildren, Parker, Emma, and Nyland; 3 nieces, Claudia Hertzog of Bel Air, Evelyn Kern of Danvers, Mass., and Gail Citron of Marshfield, Mass.; and one nephew, Rick Graybeal of Lancaster, Ohio. He was predeceased by his sister, Grace (Graybeal) Eshlemen, 2 brothers, Ralph Graybeal and Edgar Graybeal, and a nephew, Ronald Graybeal.
