RAY O. GERMAN, age 71, of Forest Hill, MD, died on August 15, 2006 at his home. Born in Romney, IN, he was the son of the late Otis Alfred and Geneva Laura Bender German, and the husband for 27 years of the late Patricia B. Forwood German. He was retired from the Operating Engineers Local Union 37 and was a livestock farmer. He was a member of Moose Local 1952. He served in the armed forces as an MP during the Korean War. His interests included farming, basketball, playing cards with his friends, and visiting Atlantic City and Delaware Park.

Mr. German is survived by one son, Thomas A. German, and his wife, Rose M. German, of Forest Hill, MD; one daughter, Wendy Baur of Forest Hill, MD; one brother, Ted German of Indiana; three sisters, Peggy Buck and Kathy Budd, both of Indiana and Nancy Slocomb of Texas; five grandchildren, Scott J. Baur, Matthew J. Baur, Patrick J. Baur, Robert A. German, Jr. and Jacob R. German, all of Forest Hill, MD; an aunt, Alice Bender of San Antonio, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by one son, Robert A. German, Sr.; and three brothers, Bill German, Sr., David German and Kenny German.

Pallbearers will be Franklin Harkins, Les Edwards, Danny Van Dyke, Robert Edwards, David Button, Chris Reamer, Steve Van Dyke and Scott Baur.
