Ray Corbin Jr., age 87, of Kingsville, MD passed away on January 6, 2013 at his home. Born in Bradshaw, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Raymond Corbin Sr. and Eva Vera Bartkowiak Corbin and husband of the late Nellie L. Moxley Corbin. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served our country during WWII. He was employed as an Electronic Engineer and worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground where he retired after 40 years of service. He was a member of Franklinville Presbyterian Church, New Life Baptist Church, Mt. Ararat Masonic Lodge AF & AM# 44 in Bel Air; the Boumi Temple in White Marsh where he was in the Legion of Honor, and the American Legion Post #39 in Bel Air. He enjoyed the friendship of the fire department community and actively participated in many fire department activities. He volunteered at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, enjoyed lawn and garden work, and loved going to the ocean and eating crabs. He also enjoyed baking, being with and bragging about his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and working with the staff at McComas Funeral Home.
Mr. Corbin is survived by his daughters, Carol A. Danza and husband, Al, of Bridgeville, DE and Sandra L. Walsch of Hampstead; sister, Virginia C. Ray of Perry Hall; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jonathan, Angela, Caren, Jill, Kaitlyn, Marc, Christopher and Molly; and great-granddaughters, Alexis and Ariana.
