Randolph Hayward Robinson of Joppa, Maryland passed away suddenly on December 5, 2023. He was 81 years old. He was predeceased by his parents, Alma Ethel Robinson, and William Emory Robinson. He is survived by brothers Alvin Robinson (Debbie), David Robinson, sister Margaret Robinson Thompson. Also, many nieces and nephews called him Uncle Rand or Uncle Bunny.
Randolph, who was born on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1942, was nicknamed “Bunny” and was known by that throughout his life. He worked for Harford County Government for nearly 50 years and was a Superintendent of Highways for many of those years with them. He was a big supporter and volunteer for the Harford County Farm Fair since it began in 1987 and served on the board for several years. He also lived and helped with Eden Mill Nature Center and the specialist would tell him he had “the run of the Mill.” One of his co-workers said, “Bunny was funny, very intelligent and always a true pleasure to be around.” Nothing was too much for him to handle and he always did it graciously. He was greatly respected by ALL-proud to have him as a friend. Bunny always set an example for everyone to follow, and men like him will always be dearly missed, God Bless Him.
To honor Randy’s (Bunny’s) memory, his adopted family-Jeanette Adkins Lewellyn and her family-Tammy & Rich, Heidi, Josh & Jillian are holding a celebration of his life on Sunday April 7, 2024, at McComas Celebration of Life Center, 1114 Baldwin Mill Road, Jarrettsville, Md 21084.
