Ralph Lee Adams

Ralph Lee Adams, age 79, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away on December 30, 2012 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Rocky Mount, NC, he was the son of the late William Abner Adams Jr. and Sallie Baker Osborne Adams. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he graduated in 1951 from Rocky Mount High School and was a graduate of Wake Forest College. He loved baseball and was a pitcher in 1955 for the National Collegiate Championship Team. He cherished his family. He also loved his Corgis, all animals and growing flowers.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 52 years and three days, Barbara Rowland Adams; sons, Will Adams and wife, Andrea, of Bel Air and Graham Adams and wife, Kathy, of Chapin, SC; daughter, Christel Adams Patton and husband, Byron, of Colora, MD; grandchildren, Breana Currie, Ashlie Adams, Travis Appleby, Chelsea Adams, Jacob Appleby, Garrett Adams, Ethan Adams and Lauren Adams. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, William Abner Adams III and sisters, Virginia Adams Lambe and Frances Webb Adams.
