Ralph Gabriel Strappelli

RALPH GABRIEL STRAPPELLI, age 83, of Bel Air, Md, died on October 5, 2007 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Dominic and Anna Delbratto Strappelli. A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, he served our country during WWII and the Korean conflict. He worked for the U.S. Postal service in the Baltimore area for 43 years, and was the Financial Secretary for the National Association of Letter Carriers for over 25 years. He was a member of the Sons of Italy-Harford County Lodge and the Bel Air Knights of Columbus. He was Chairman for the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a loyal Baltimore Colts fan.

Mr. Strappelli is survived by his wife of 57 years, Catherine E. Costello Strappelli of Bel Air, MD; three sons, Stephen Strappelli of Parkville, MD, John Strappelli of Towson, MD, and David Strappelli of Bel Air, MD; two daughters, Susan Rebuck of Bel Air, MD and Gina Ross of Fallston, MD; and eleven grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Denise Bloom, two sisters, Rita Brown and Anna Sergi, and one great-granddaughter, Grace Catherine Majeran.
