Rachel E. Johnson

Rachel Estille Johnson, age 76, of Joppa, MD, died at her home surrounded by family on Sunday, February 27, 2011. She was retired from D&L as a Quality Control Inspector. She was born July 26, 1934 in Surry, NC to Bertha Brooks of NC and the late Harvey Brooks. On August 9, 1958 she was united in marriage to James M. Johnson in Bel Air, MD.

Rachel is survived by her husband of 52 years, James M. Johnson of Joppa; her daughter, Sharon Johnson of Edgewood; her son Folger Johnson Sr. of Bel Air; three grandchildren, Chad, Folger Jr. and James D. Johnson; three great grandchildren and her sister, Marie Lesert. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother Folger "Buddy" Brooks.

Pallbearers will be Folger Johnson Jr., J.D. Johnson, Chad Johnson, Bill Somers, Glen Taylor and Bill Smullen.
