R. Wilson Johnson, Sr.

R. WILSON JOHNSON, SR., age 82, of Bel Air, MD, died on January 14, 2006 at the Hart Heritage Home in Street, MD. Born in Forest Hill, MD, he was the son of the late John Raymond and Mary Frances Wilson Johnson. He was an employee of The Aegis since age 18, and retired from the paper as an assistant manager and printer after 48 years of service. Mr. Johnson was an active member of the Methodist Church all of his life, and was head usher at Bel Air United Methodist Church for 50 years. He also enjoyed dining with friends, golf, and playing cards. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WW II.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Mary Roberta Morgan Johnson of Bel Air, MD; two sons, Raymond Wilson Johnson, Jr. of Churchville, MD and Jerry Johnson of Bel Air, MD; one daughter, Leigh Ann Lochary of Bel Air, MD; and six grandchildren, Scott and Megan Johnson of Churchville, MD, Nicole, Ashley and Amanda Johnson of Bel Air, MD, and Shawn Lochary of Bel Air, MD.
