Phyllis Schabdach

Phyllis Schabdach, age 86, of Bel Air, MD, died on July 26, 2009 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation in Bel Air, MD. Born in Macklin, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Adam Peter and Christine Biegler Diewold. She retired after 20 years from the Harford County Public School system where she was a cafeteria manager at Hickory Elementary School. A member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Trinity Lutheran Church, she was an avid traveler and had been all over the world. She enjoyed bowling, making crafts, jigsaw puzzles and camping with the Good Sam Camping Club.

Mrs. Schabdach is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul Leonard Schabdach of Bel Air, MD; sons, Paul George Schabdach of Churchville, MD, Bruce John Schabdach of Baldwin, MD, and Mark David Schabdach of Bel Air, MD; brothers, Adam Diewold of Ferndale, WA, Albert Diewold of Colona, BC, Eddie Diewold of Victoria, BC, Ken Diewold of Maple Ridge, BC; sisters, Evelyn Russell of Cactus Lake, Saskatchewan, Kathleen Dupont of Beaver Lodge, Aberta, Lucy Bickel of New Westminster, BC, and Mary Sahli of Vancouver, BC; and eight grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Gary Gutherlet.

Pallbearers will be Scott Schabdach, Jack Liberatore, Bob Ibex, Robby Ibex, Billy Ibex, and Tony Valente.
