Phyllis M. Roemer

Phyllis M. Roemer, age 72, of Jarrettsville, MD passed away on March 24, 2019 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Gottfried August Smetana and Doris M.(Whitley) Besserer and wife of the late Gerald Joseph Roemer. She attended St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She was currently employed as a controller for an Insurance company in Owings Mills over 20 years. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren traveling together and being at the beach. She enjoyed going to see shows and music at the theater, she saw Jesus Christ Superstar just last weekend with her family.

Mrs. Roemer is survived by two sons, Gerald R. Roemer of Jarrettsville and Matthew W. Roemer of Bel Air; daughter, Cheryl (Brian Kelly) A. Roemer of Stewartstown, PA; two granddaughters, Laina Jane Roemer and Sara Kelly; two grandsons, Maxwell James Roemer and Bennett Gordon Kelly; and brother, Earle Besserer of Rising Sun.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Besserer and Gus Smetana.
