Phyllis Jean Head-Buckmeier, age 87, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on December 7, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late George and Alverta Peggy Hatt Head and wife of the late Robert Raymond Buckmeier. She was a member of Perry Hall United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Needle Benders, and sang with the Sweet Adelines. She loved reading, gardening, playing bridge and enjoyed cooking and baking and having the Smith family as neighbors. She also enjoyed painting and traveling and liked to accessorize herself with jewelry.
Mrs. Buckmeier is survived by her son, Doug Buckmeier and companion, Glenna King, of Bel Air; grandchildren, Lillian Rebekka Buckmeier and Molly Lyn Buckmeier of Baltimore; and great-grandchildren, Eric James Tyminski Jr. and Maximus Douglas Tyminski. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Donald Buckmeier and brothers, George and Robert Head.
