Phoebe Ann Balsamo

Phoebe Ann Balsamo, age 66, of Fallston, MD passed away on May 16, 2014 at the Gilchrist Center in Towson. Born in Charles Town, WV, she is the daughter of Virginia Hawk Staubs of Harpers Ferry, WV and the late Charles Weller. A Maryland resident since 1965, she earned her accounting degree from York College and went on to work for Black and Decker for more than 40 years. Her last position was as a Senior Tax Accountant until her retirement in 2012. She was an avid reader of Agatha Christie mystery novels. Phoebe enjoyed working cruising with friends, the beach, dining out, the theatre and jigsaw puzzles.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Balsamo is survived by her husband of 24 years, Paul Christopher Balsamo Sr.; sons, Ronald L. Kern and wife, Somjit of Dundalk, Keith A. Owings of Westminster, Paul C. Balsamo Jr. and wife, Kathryn of Malaysia and Daniel A. Balsamo of Baltimore; sister, Jean Ehrlich and husband, David of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Daniel Staubs and wife, Joyce of Harpers Ferry, WV; grandchildren, Nicholas and Sarah Balsamo; and her favorite cat, Daisy.
