Phleet Hartley

PHLEET HARTLEY, age 90, of Bel Air, MD, died on May 9, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Melville, MT, he was the son of the late Louis David and Callie Hash Hartley. He worked 42 years with Hartley's Painting and Decorating in Harford County, which was his brother's business. An avid gardener, he loved his yard and raised roses. He loved to travel and had gone to all 48 states, including Mexico and Canada. He served as a trustee and usher for 20 years at Calvary Baptist Church in Bel Air, MD.

Mr. Hartley is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Hartley of Bel Air, MD; a son, William G. Hartley of Dover, PA; a sister, Phyllis Himmer of Fallston, MD; one grandson, two great-grandchildren, and one step-granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers, Scott Hartley, Howard A. Hartley, Paul Hartley, Fred Hartley, and Garnet Hartley; and three sisters, Elsie Hutchin, Gladyes Forseth, and Hazel Redding.

Pallbearers were Larry Hartley, Scott Hartley, William Hartley Jr., William Hartley, Michael Bailey, and George Nevins.
