Phillip Franklin Zehfuss, age 82, of Churchville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Phillip was the beloved son of the late Robert and Janie (Fleming) Zehfuss, and the devoted husband for 55 years of the late Lois Zehfuss.
Phillip was a loving and devoted father, cherishing his family and friends above all else. He is survived by his daughter, Phylise Satterfield and son-in-law Roland, and his grandchildren, Paul Poole, and Matthew Poole. He will be dearly missed by his cherished cat, Furby, and will be fondly remembered for his compassion towards animals, always ensuring the birds and outside cats were well-fed.
Phillip was an avid life-long golfer. He loved spending time on the golf course and was a member of the Forest Hill Golf Club. He also had a passion for fishing, particularly deep-sea fishing, and loved capturing the beauty of life through photography. His adventurous spirit led him to travel extensively, visiting 46 states and more than 30 countries.
Phillip's warmth, generosity, and adventurous nature endeared him to many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
