Phillip Steven Hom Jr., age 55, of Belcamp, MD, died on December 23, 2008 at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Mabel Charlotte Wendler Hom of Baltimore, MD and the late Phillip Steven Hom Sr. He was the owner and operator of Criterion Electric in Belcamp. He enjoyed family activities with his wife, children and grandchildren, and was always willing to help others. He was kind, giving, and generous, and very devoted to his family. He enjoyed his cats and dogs, going to the zoo, amusement parks, and taking his dogs to the dog park where they could swim. An avid motorcyclist, he especially enjoyed his Harley.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Hom is survived by his wife of 34 years, Diana Kay White of Belcamp, MD; son, Christopher G. Eddy of Bel Air, MD; daughter, Amanda L. Hom-Sidik and husband, Mo Sidik, of Bel Air, MD; daughter-in-law, Andrea N. Norris of Bel Air, MD; siblings, Lisa Rose Hom and Steven W. Hom, both of Baltimore, MD, Kathy Marie Hom Moran of Chesapeake City, MD, and Henry J. Hom Sr. of Baltimore, MD; nephews, Henry J. Hom Jr. of Pennsylvania and Seth N. Moran of Chesapeake City, MD; and five grandchildren, Kevin E. Hom, Shane T. Eddy, M. Elijah Sidik, Kamran A. Sidik, and Mason D. Sidik, all of Bel Air, MD. The sixth grandchild, a baby girl, is due to be born on Phillip's birthday, January 31, 2009.
