Phillip ''Bud'' G. Young

PHILLIP G. "BUD" YOUNG, age 61, of Whiteford, MD, died on February 11, 2008 in Pennsylvania. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Raymond Wilson Young of Street, MD and the late Catherine Elsie Walter Young. He worked for Williams Construction Company for over 30 years, and also worked for Concrete General. He was a member of the Aberdeen Masonic Lodge and attended Bel Air Church of the Nazarene. He was very active in the Harford Christian Athletic Booster Club and helped raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy and The Tall Cedars. He enjoyed antique collecting, fishing and hunting. He loved to take care of all the children, family, and friends.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, who he married on November 2, 1980, Kathy A. Young of Jarrettsville, MD; two daughters, Gretchen Lynn Young Sexton and her husband, James, of Darlington, MD and Samantha Ann Lucky and her husband, Nathan, of Darlington, MD; two brothers, James Young and wife, Patricia, and their two daughters, of Forest Hill, MD and Bruce Young and wife, Sharon, and their two daughters, of Bel Air, MD; two sisters, Judy Lenane her husband, Pat, one son and one daughter; of Street, MD and Patty Ann White and her son of Street, MD; four grandchildren, Brooke Elizabeth Lucky, Emily Catherine Lucky, Page Madison Lucky, and Trever James Sexton all of Darlington, MD; sister-in-law, Nancy E. Spencer of New Park, PA. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a niece, Beth Tarquini.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a memorial fund set up in the name of Phillip G. "Bud" Young, to the Bel Air Church of the Nazarene, 2430 Conowingo Rd., Bel Air, MD 21015.
