Phillip Simon Seidl, age 89, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away on May 9, 2024, at Sterling Care in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Sam and Elizabeth (Needy) Seidl. He was the beloved husband of Joanne (Tornabene) Seidl for 50 years.
Phillip proudly served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army. After his military service, he became a dedicated member of the American Legion and St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Phillip had a fulfilling career with AT&T, where he retired as a teletyper. He approached life with a sense of adventure, enjoying trips to Ocean City and exploring new destinations.
A true sports enthusiast, Phillip was a devoted fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens. He cherished moments spent cheering on his favorite team and discussing the latest games with friends and family.
Phillip will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his surviving family members, including his son, Mark Seidl; grandchildren Trinity Lewis, Gary Bose, Reese Bailey, Camden Seidl, and Everett Seidl; and great grandchildren, Christopher, Nathan, Alyssa, Chloe, Hunter, Colt, and Avery (due in July).
In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Lee Seidl.
