On Sunday, October 13, 2013, Percy Matthew Thornton of White Hall, Maryland passed away. Husband of the late Clara Jackson, father of Lewis Thornton and Percy Thornton, Jr. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013, from 2-4 PM - 7-9 PM at the Kurtz Funeral Home, 1114 Baldwin Mill Road , Jarrettsville, Maryland 21084. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM from the funeral home. Interment in Mt. Joy A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 17223 Troyer Road, Monkton, Maryland 21111.
