Peggy Rafter

Peggy Rafter, 87, of Bel Air, MD passed away on August 10, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late John "Jack" F. German and Margaret V. (Murphy) German and wife of the late Edward Francis Rafter. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church where she taught 1st grade for 20 years. She was very generous to anyone who needed anything. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and caring for her dogs, Taco and Waldo. She found great pleasure in planning and preparing family meals in her lovely home.

Mrs. Rafter is survived by her daughter, Nancy Wilkinson of Havre de Grace; son-in-law, John Cubbage of Bel Air; grandchildren, Brian E. Cubbage, Jennifer L. Long and Anne Nicole Izzo; and great-granddaughter, Josephine Long with a great-grandson on the way, Bentley Izzo. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen Cubbage.
