Peggy Ann Thomas Redd

June 4, 1937 — July 8, 2011

Peggy Ann Thomas Redd, age 74, of Abingdon, MD, died suddenly on July 8, 2011. Born in Emmorton, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Edward and Maude Edward Beasley Thomas. She is preceded in death by a son Samuel B. Redd, Jr., a brother, John V. Thomas and a sister, Doris Holland. Ms. Redd, a resident of Harford County her entire life, worked in the health care industry and was a member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church in Abingdon. She enjoyed growing flowers and listening to "The Blues". Her yearly Labor Day barbecues were anticipated by neighbors, family and friends from Virginia to New York.

Ms. Redd is survived by her son, George A. Redd of Abingdon, MD; daughters, Tessa A. Tripp (Bernard), and Theresa M. Davis of Baltimore and Roxann Redd-Wallace (Mark) of Abingdon. Two sisters, Josephine Ferguson-Dorman of Abingdon, MD and Daisy Gittings of Aberdeen, MD; brother-in-law, Milton Holland, of Street, MD; 13 grand children, 8 great-grand children; one great-great-grand child; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
