Pauline J. Gray

Pauline J. Gray, age 95, of Bel Air, MD, died on July 8, 2011 at Jacobs Well Assisted Living in Bel Air, MD. Born in Seanor, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Beal and Edith Catherine Swearman Hook , and wife of the late Charles E. Gray. She retired, after 15 years, from General Telephone in Santa Monica, CA where she was an accounting clerk. A longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, she taught an Adult Bible Class there for 20 years. She was a good neighbor and cheerful friend to all who knew her and she regularly visited shut-ins and nursing home residents until she reached the age of 85 years old. She loved to raise heirloom tomatoes which she shared with friends and family.

Mrs. Gray is survived by her daughter, Edith P. Johnson and husband, Dwayne, of Fallston, MD; four grandchildren, David A. Gray and Michael T. Gray and his wife, Jade, all of Chatsworth, CA, Philip L. Johnson of San Diego, CA, and Mei-Ling Johnson of Wilmington, DE; and great-grandchildren, Jamie and Katie Gray of Chatsworth, CA. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Thomas E. and B. David Gray; and siblings, Paul E. Beal, Phyllis A. Boldizar, Bernard M. Beal, and William H. Beal Jr.
