Paula Michele Shrader

Paula Shrader passed away peacefully as she slept in the morning hours of 12/13/21. She was 69 years old. She is survived by her son, Justin Shrader and partner, Tracy. She was preceded in death by her late husband and love of her life, Robert Shrader, who died in 2007 and whom she missed terribly.  Paula was born on 3/7/1952 to her parents Leslie Beebe, Jr. and Evelyn Beebe (Kelley). She was the second of five children and is survived by two sisters, Kimberly Owens and Karen Green, and two brothers Kelly Beebe and Leslie Beebe, III. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and lifelong dear friends and family.  Paula was always active and ready for a family get-together or adventure. She loved her life raising her son, introducing him to Disney World and vacationing in Williamsburg, VA. 

Paula worked as a professional secretary her entire career, mostly in medical forensics at the Clarence Mitchell Courthouse in Baltimore City. She was a revered colleague and a staple at the courthouse for many years.

Paula loved her extended family and was always excited for the arrival of a new baby to spoil. You could always count on her to send snail mail to wish you a happy holiday, to share a recipe, to say thank you, or for no reason at all.

Even as she grew older and her health began to decline, Paula remained a “busy bee.” She enjoyed visiting the sunflower fields, watching hot air balloons, and shopping. She was creative, crafty, and loved to cook and bake. She saw the beauty in these simple things just as she did in others. And others did in her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her and will always be remembered for the love and joy for life that she shared.

A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2022 when the weather warms and we can safely gather. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Organization, a charity that Paula regularly donated to:
