Paul W. Guercio of Bel Air, MD, died January 26, 2008 at Gilchrist Center in Towson, MD. Born in Baltimore on December 18, 1942, he was the son of Regina A. Haslbeck of Bel Air, MD and the late S. William Guercio of Bel Air, MD. He was sixty-five.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Maxine C. Bryans Guercio of Bel Air, MD; a son, Michael P. Guercio and his wife Bridget E. Guercio, of Front Royal, VA; two sisters, Jody Murphy and her husband Roger Murphy of Phoenix, AZ and Regina Hall and her husband McClure Hall of Seattle, WA; and two grandchildren, Matthew P. Guercio of Odenton, MD and Alexander M. Guercio of Front Royal, VA.
Mr. Guercio graduated from Fishburn Military School, Waynesboro, VA. and later received a Masters Electrician License from the Maryland State Board. He taught in the Electrical Apprenticeship program at Harford Community College. He founded and named Cove Electric, Inc, Edgewood, MD. Mr. Guercio was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam War era.
In addition to his work, Mr. Guercio volunteered in the Bel Air Recreation program in baseball, soccer and basketball. His favorite recreational pastime was boating and he also enjoyed many great fishing trips. Several times a week he enjoyed playing tennis at the Tennis Barn with various friends.
