PAUL HOOD TART, age 83, of Fallston, died at his home on October 25, 2004. Born in Dunn, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Jasper D. and Eunice West Tart. He was retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground where he was a cabinet maker. A resident of Harford County for nine years, he was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and the Disabled Veterans. He served his country in the US Army during WWII in Europe. He enjoyed fishing and boating.
Mr. Tart is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gertrude Pollard Tart; four daughters, Frances T. Allen of Conowingo, Brenda S. Smoot of Fallston, Barbara T. Luhrman of Fallston and Karen Knight of Baltimore; two brothers, Earl D. Tart of Florida and J.D. Tart of Baltimore; five sisters, Geraldine Johnston of Fallston, Ruth Dillard of Raleigh, North Carolina, Inez Dillinger of Baltimore, Judy Thomas of Clayton, North Carolina, and Nellie Midgett of Raleigh, North Carolina; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Kenneth H. Tart.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2106 Churchville Road, Bel Air, MD 21015.
