Paul A. Melton

Paul A. Melton, 70, of Edgewood, Maryland, entered into eternal rest February 24, 2021.

He was born September 30, 1950, son of the late Melvin Metzger and Gladys Melton.

He was a faithful member of Rosedale Baptist Church. He served in the Bus Ministry and attended the Church School regularly. Paul retired from Bob's Transport Service after 17 years of dedicated service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Judy V. Melton of Edgewood; one daughter, Sherrie L. Pleasants of Harrisonburg, Virginia; two sons, Paul M. Melton, of Graham, North Carolina and Matthew J. Melton and his wife, Chrissy, of Middle River, Maryland; and ten grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Donald and Charles Melton.

He will be fondly remembered by many including one special special sister-in-law, Francis Melton, as well other relatives and many friends.


A memorial service will be conducted at 1 pm on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Barnesville Baptist Church in Barnesville, Maryland with Pastor Danny Moore officiating.

Contributions may be made to: the Salvation Army and John Hopkins Children's ward, in lieu of flowers.
