Grandmom

Patty Bowen, age 84, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away on February 28, 2025, at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Grayson County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Tamie and Alice (Stamper) Greer and wife of 64 years and 10 months to Daniel Jay Bowen, Sr. She was a former member of Williams Waters United Methodist Church. In the earlier years of her life, she enjoyed painting, ceramics, reading, gardening, going to the beach, and spending time with family. It was “all about the grandkids.” In her last few years, Patty fought dementia with the help of her loving husband and family.

In addition to her husband, Patty is survived by her children, Kim (Steve) Hladky, Daniel Jay Bowen, Jr, and Cherie (Joe) Antonellis; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Dolly Neubeck and Mary Hruz; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Poppy Jean Robertson, brothers Weldon and Clemon Greer, and sister, Eva Edwards.
