Patrick John Reardon, age 80, of Bel Air, MD passed away on July 6, 2017 at his home. Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of William Gilbert Reardon and Bessie Reardon (Moudy) Clevenger. He served his country in active military duty with the United States Air Force. Upon return from overseas duty, he moved with his parents to Miami, FL. SSgt Reardon served as a rescue and survival specialist with 301st Air Rescue Squadron (Res), Homestead AFB, FL. After completion of his BSME (Mechanical Engineering) at University of Miami (FL), he and his wife and family moved to MD where he worked for the Federal government for thirty-three years.
He studied art at University of MD evening classes and enjoyed creating landscapes and still life paintings in oils and pastels. He cruised for years on his sailboat, Windwalker, and also enjoyed playing tennis and golf. He was a member of American Legion and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Annapolis MD.
Mr. Reardon is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Sharon Crossett Reardon; his children, John D. Reardon of Glen Burnie, Dannye Kim and husband Lane Lyvers of Shady Side, Michael P. Reardon of Wilmington, NC, Stefani R. and husband David O'Dea of Bel Air and Devon P. Reardon of Pasadena; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Air Force Aid Society or the American Lung Association.
