Patricia R. Austin

Patricia R. Austin, age 81, of Havre de Grace, Maryland passed away on April 7, 2021 at her daughter's home in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Waverly, New York, she was the daughter of Leslie Peter and Reba Silver (Burtt) Compton and wife of the late Bobbie N. Austin. Patricia was a member of First Baptist Church in Havre de Grace, where she enjoyed worshiping and serving. Patricia was the Aberdeen telephone switchboard night operator in the 1950’s. She was a devout Christian and the custodian of Oak Grove Baptist Church for many years. She was also the “cafeteria lady” at Havre de Grace Elementary and Middle Schools and loved serving the children.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Anne Kirchner of Bel Air; grandchild, T.J. Kirchner; and great grandchildren, Rose and Riley Kirchner.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie Peter Compton, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends to plant a tree in her memory.
