Patricia A. Hershberger

Patricia A. Hershberger, age 85, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away on April 12, 2025, at Loving Care Assisted Living in Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Born in Beckley, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Baldwin and Nellie (Huffman) Buettner and the beloved wife of the late Russell Hershberger.

Patricia retired from Mercy Medical Center, where she served as the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor for over 15 years. She was known for her strong work ethic and dedication.

In her personal life, Patricia found great joy in reading and spending time with her family. In her younger years, she was an exceptional cook who loved preparing meals for those she loved. She also enjoyed traveling and took delight in dressing up for events held by the Boumi Temple.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her sense of humor, and the deep love she had for her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by her sons, James Buettner (Rebecca), John Chavis, Sr. (Gloria), Grady Chavis (Sherry), James Hammonds, Jr.; daughters, Nella Savage (Alan) and Sherri French; son-in-law, Charles Wolfe; many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Wolfe.
