Patricia "Pat" Grue

Patricia "Pat" Grue, age 90, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on May 14, 2023 at Sterling Care Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Henry Urban Alsruhe and Caroline Helen (Kirchner) Alsruhe and wife of 71 years as of May 24, 2023 to Bob Grue. Pat worked her early years as a mother to five rambunctious children.  After moving to Harford County in 1970, she went to work for the Harford County School system as a food service worker responsible for baking all the goodies that in those days were homemade. She was well known for her amazing peanut butter brownies. Pat enjoyed bowling and reading and was an avid singer with a voice like an angel.  She was a member of the Upper Chesapeake CHORUS of Sweet Adelines for over 20 years. 
       
Pat is survived by her husband, Charles Robert Grue (Bob); sons, Robert Charles Grue (spouse Nancy Drew Grue) and Stephen Anthony Grue (spouse Jennifer Lynn Grue); daughters, Carol Ann Klein (spouse Edward Frank Klein) and Marie Louise Christensen (spouse Wayne Allen Christensen) and Gloria Pauline Wolcott (spouse Lawrence Paul Wolcott); brother Ferdinand (Fred) Alsruhe; and sister, Mary McKenna. Pat enjoyed many years with her grandchildren, Adam Vincent Grue, Dawn Elizabeth Klein, Christopher Paul Wolcott, Heather Marie Christensen, David Robert Grue, Victoria Marie Leeper, Bryan James Christensen, and Timothy James Wolcott; and great grandchildren, Logan Conner Wolcott, Gwendolyn Elizabeth Klein, Grant Edward Klein, Brody Colin Wolcott, Percy Cleveland Kilkenny, and Caroline Nicole Wolcott.

Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of the family owned and operated McComas Family Funeral Home in Bel Air, Maryland on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 6-8 pm. Services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at McComas Family Funeral Home in Bel Air at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
