Patricia Elizabeth White (Kliskey) passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, at the age of 99. She joins her beloved husband, James Crandall White, Sr, and their son, James Crandall White, Jr. in heaven. Patricia was the daughter of David Kliskey and Mary Kelly, born in Gardner, Massachusetts.
Patricia graduated from Ashland High School and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree from Boston University. She became a teacher in the elementary grades in several different Massachusetts towns. She and husband Jim White moved to Maryland and raised three children. Patricia is survived by Janice Carol (White) Carchedi (and Anthony) of Clinton, Massachusetts; and Judith Carolyn (White) Whitaker (and David) of Kingsville, Maryland. Her son, James Crandall White, Jr (and Kathy) of Tennessee have both passed on. She delighted in three grandchildren: Jessica (Carchedi) Pitsillides, Aaron Carchedi, and James Crandall White lll, and ten great grandchildren. She was also aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Pat and Jim enjoyed traveling all around the country, caring for their home and gardens, taking long walks, swimming, vacationing with their children, going to Disneyworld, listening to music, doing volunteer work and doing almost everything together. Pat was an avid reader and loved organizing the donated books for their church’s (St Mary’s Episcopal in Abingdon, MA) rummage sale as well as at several area thrift shops. She collected postcards, Pez dispensers, and glass paperweights.
Visitation will be held in the parish hall of St Mary’s Church on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at 10:00 am followed by a Requiem Mass in the Sanctuary at 11:00am. Burial will follow immediately in St Mary’s cemetery. All are invited to come back to the parish hall for refreshments and fellowship.
