Beloved by family and cherished by friends, Patricia A. Blum, age 93, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on February 14, 2024, at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, Maryland. Born in Federalsburg, Maryland, she was the daughter of Calvin and Anna (Zahnizer) Turner and wife of the late Julius “Jim” Blum. Patricia was a dedicated Registered Nurse, having graduated from Delaware Memorial Hospital Nursing School.
Patricia's zest for life was evident in her love for family and her passion for games. Known for her skill at pinochle, bridge, and mahjong, she brought joy and friendly competition to every gathering. These games, a beloved tradition with her late husband, also determined who brewed the coffee! An avid bowler and voracious reader, Patricia embraced each day with enthusiasm, often taking long walks that spanned miles. She treasured family vacations, particularly those spent by the ocean, and delighted in traveling the world with her late husband, living in various places including Iran, California, Germany, Georgia, and finally settling in Abingdon, Maryland, close to family.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Carol Wingo; brother, Calvin Turner; sisters, Donna Jarmon, and Linda Milligan; grandchildren, Daniel Foisy, Sarah Foisy, and Rose Foisy; great-grandchildren, Ethan Windsor, Alexandria Louise Foisy, and Oliver Julius Bowman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Thomas Turner and sister, Wanda Krammes.
