Patricia Ann Zynel

Patricia A. (Pat) Zynel of Bel Air died May 19 at Lorien Riverside. She was 78. She was the wife of 40 years of the late Vitold L. Zynel.

Born in Canebrake, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Martha Marie Beavers Williamson. A career civil servant, she retired from Edgewood Arsenal in 1975. She remained very active in retirement, traveling, and helping neighbors, friends, and family, and was past president of the Bel Air chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. In addition, she was a charter member of the Mid-Harford Investment Club, serving most recently as treasurer. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an accomplished seamstress and craft person.

Mrs. Zynel is survived by two children, Carol A. Ellis of Bel Air, and W. Joseph Zynel of Hampstead, and four grandchildren, Michael P. Ellis of Bel Air, Jason E. Ellis of Bel Air, Ashley N. Whitehead of Hampstead, and Ryan J. Zynel of Hampstead. She is also survived by two sisters, Marion Scott and Ruth Simmons, both of Aberdeen.
