Patricia Ann Rizo, a longtime resident of Joppatowne, Maryland, passed away on January 12, 2020 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center in Havre de Grace, Maryland. She was 81 years old.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the youngest daughter of Lamar Charles and Rose Anna (McGlynn) Markland.
Pat had a deep love for all animals. She rescued many dogs and cats over her lifetime. She especially loved to feed the seagulls.
She loved to visit the beach and was fearless of the roughest surf. She was well-known for her love of sending greeting cards to everyone for every occasion.
"Miss Pat" was the popular "cafeteria lady" at local schools, and later worked as a receptionist and file clerk at a local medical office.
Pat, aka Patty, aka Trish, aka Ann, aka Anzie, aka Riz, was loved by all. She was very passionate and involved in her children's activities when they were young, and a good cheerleader and support system to everyone. Pat loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many.
Patricia is survived by son Bruce Markland "Mark" Rizo, daughter Dawn P. Kline and her husband, Kevin; three grandchildren, Nicholas Michael Kline and his wife Ashley, Kyle Markland Kline and his wife Shelby, and Taylor McGlynn Kline; and great-grandchild Madison Meusel. Besides her parents and beloved aunt Lorraine Hughes, she is predeceased by sisters Jane Jonczak and Lorraine "Honey" Deasel.
