Patricia Ann Raab

August 17, 1930 — December 8, 2018

Patricia Ann Raab (nee Felty) of Bel Air, devoted wife and mother, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Donald W. and Anna R. Felty (nee Kreipl) and wife of James John Raab. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Felty. She is survived by her sister H. Joan Koppelman.

Born August 17, 1930 in Baltimore, she was a graduate of Seton High School and was employed by the Social Security Administration prior to her marriage to James J. Raab in 1953.

After their wedding, the couple briefly lived on the family farm north of Bel Air. Soon thereafter, Mr. Raab began a career as an excavating contractor and they raised their six children in Hickory.

She was an active member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church in Bel Air, where she served as President of the United Methodist Womens group, as well as the church treasurer. She participated in a variety of church related activities, including crocheting prayer shawls for the sick and providing meals for the needy of Harford County.

She was an avid gardener, a skilled seamstress and supported several animal charities.

Mrs. Raab is survived by her husband of 65 years, James J. Raab and sons David and his wife Lori, Mark and his wife Mary, Tim, and Chris and his wife Sandy. Daughters Susanne and her husband Ed Katrinic and Lisa and her husband Safaa Kasem, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
