Patricia Ann Bennett

Patricia Ann Bennett (Parrett), of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away at home January 20, 2023 after an extended illness.

She was born March 18, 1949 to Catherine Ann (Nizza) Parrett and Nicholas S. Parrett in Brookhaven, New York.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 53 years, George B. Bennett of Bel Air. She is also survived by her sons, Thomas M. Bennett (Leeann) of Evansville, Indiana, and George M. Bennett (Jennifer) of Annapolis, Maryland, her brother Nicholas (Nick) Parrett of Medford, NY, her grandchildren: Ryan Bennett, Jack Bennett, Lauryn Bennett of Maryland, Hunter Bennett, Katy Bennett, Ally Bennett and Eden Bennett of Indiana.

Patricia grew up in Medford, NY and graduated from Patchogue High School in 1967. She was a devoted mother and housewife. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver, formidable Scrabble player and enjoyed cooking Italian food for her family.

Patricia was loyal, fair, calm loving and supportive. She and her husband, George, moved to Maryland in 1998 to help with and be near their grandchildren. Her family was her world, and she especially delighted in her grandchildren. She loved to reminisce about family tales!

Her sons say this about their dear mom:

“She was the kindest and most caring person we have ever known. To say we were fortunate to have her as our mom is an understatement. She was also an equally loving and nurturing grandmother to her adoring grandkids. Thank you for everything you have done for our family, mom. You will truly be missed.”
