Patricia A. Reith

Patricia A. Reith, age 73, of Bel Air, MD passed away on May 8, 2017 at her daughter's home. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was a lifetime resident of Harford County. She was the daughter of Lawrence Cameron and Sara Elizabeth (Morris) Gorrell. She was a 1961 graduate of Bel Air High School who then went on to receive a degree from the Bard Avon Business School. She worked as a procurement contract specialist with the U.S. Government at Aberdeen Proving Ground for 31 years, retiring in 1994. She was an avid golfer, loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed working in her yard, reading, and when she was younger she showed horses. As a horsewoman, she won numerous Maryland and Eastern Shore Associations' championships and was on the first International Pony Competition Team held at Madison Square Garden in NY and in Washington, DC.

She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Bel Air.

Ms. Reith is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline M. Childress of Bel Air; sister, Nancy Robinson and husband, Jim, of New Bern, NC; and grandchildren, Lexi A. Childress, Lauren M. Childress and Ryan L. Childress all of Bel Air, MD.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, David J. Foleen.
