Park Leslie Gardner, Sr.

December 25, 1922 — August 5, 2004

PARK LESLIE GARDNER, SR., age 81, of Joppa, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on August 5, 2004. Born in White Hall, he was the son of the late George Washington and Christiana Knopp Gardner. He was a ships joiner and worked for the Hopeman Brothers. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Gunpowder Post 10067 and a past member of the William Waters Methodist Church.

Mr. Gardner is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ruth Ann Grogg Gardner; one son, Park Leslie Gardner, Jr. of Essex; two daughters, Linda Carol Phillips of Dundalk; Belinda Joy Gardner of South Carolina; one step-son, William Lee Smith of Joppa; one brother, Raymond Gardner of Jarrettsville; two sisters, Anna Mary Etter of Jarrettsville; Evelyn Jane Christine of York County, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Richard Allen Gardner.
