Panackal Abraham Eapen, Baby/Achayan/Appachen, age 95, of Kochupurackal, Pallipad, Kerala, India, died on February 23, 2011 at the home of his eldest son in Bel Air, MD. Born in Thalavadi, Kerala, he was the son of the late Panackal Eapen Abraham and Mariamma Abraham Ambrayil, Thalavadi, and husband, for 44 years, of the late Annamma Eapen Poothicote, Mepral.
A 1938 graduate of Madras Christian College in Chennai, he attended law school for a year until his father died, and subsequently had been employed as a banker while simultaneously cultivating the family property. An avid reader, occasional writer and a literary lay scholar, he was an expert on all matters history, church and family histories in particular.
