Pamela H. Coale

PAMELA HENDON COALE, age 92, of Bel Air, died on October 2, 2006 at Citizens Nursing Home in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Harry Davis and Elizabeth Hollis Smith Coale.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Sarah Mildred Coale Cronin and Harriett Davis Coale Cully Jr.

Miss Coale served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Chief Pharmacist Mate. She began her nursing career during her teens doing private nursing of relatives and other patients for prominent Harford County doctors. She attended Jenkins Memorial School of Nursing in Baltimore, MD. Miss Coale, a Licensed Practical Nurse, retired following 32 years of service to Citizens Nursing Home in Havre de Grace, MD. Miss Coale was a member of the Licensed Practical Nurses Association. She was a longtime member of the DAR and American Legion Post #39 in Bel Air, MD. She was an avid Bingo player at Harford Senior Housing Center in Bel Air.
