Otto Joseph Weber (June 10, 1960 to May 2, 2020)

It is with very deep sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Mr. Otto Joseph Weber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto and Betsy Lee Weber who was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 10, 1960. As a teenager, he was an avid swimmer and scuba diver, serving as a lifeguard and diving in various locations, including the Red Sea. He was also a trained wrestler, participating in wrestling tournaments in Iran and other places. In this 20s, he began a lifelong career in iron working, joining Iron Workers Local 16 of Baltimore (which in 2017 merged with Washington D.C.’s Local 5) of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers, a union founded in 1896. With Diane Weber, he became the father of two children, Samantha Suzanne and Otto Joseph Jr. “Joey.” Valuing education, he completed an Associate of Arts degree at the Community College of Baltimore County. He has five younger siblings, Virginia Blevins, Ronald Weber, Gerard Weber, Mary Weber and David Weber, and twelve nieces and nephews. In his free time, he enjoyed working on automobiles, grilling, watching the History Channel and riding his motorcycle. He will be most remembered for his bushy mustache, broad smile, ceaseless generosity and special gift at storytelling.
