OTHO LEE BOOTHE, age 82, of Darlington, MD, died on April 28, 2007, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of the late William Rueben Boothe and the late Jettie Odell Boothe Tiller. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and operator for C.J. Langenfelder in Baltimore, MD, and retired after 30 years. To co-workers, friends and family he was known as “Oats”. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local # 37 and Grandview Christian Church. After retirement he enjoyed farming, working on farm equipment, mowing lawns, cutting and splitting firewood and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid baseball fan, pet lover and enjoyed being outside and helping others.
Mr. Boothe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret C. Boothe of Darlington, MD; one son, Gary Lee Boothe and his wife Terrie M. Boothe of Perryville, MD; one daughter, Karen V. Garono and her husband, Ed L. Garono of Darlington, MD; two grandchildren, Lisa M. Brooks of Riverside, MD, and Matthew E. Garono of Darlington, MD; and two great grandchildren, Andrew and Ian Brooks, both of Riverside, MD.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Boothe was predeceased by three siblings.
