Opal S. Birkmire

OPAL S. BIRKMIRE, age 76, of Bel Air, MD, died on February 13, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Bel Air, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Daylor and Mary Virginia Weaver Smith and wife of the late Charles R. Birkmire. She worked for APG Edgewood Area as a budget analyst retiring after 30 years. She enjoyed working at the Shoe Department at the Harford Mall after she retired.

Mrs. Birkmire is survived by two sons, Michael R. Birkmire of Hays, NC and Joseph E. Birkmire of Belcamp, MD; two sisters, Charlotte D. Smith of Joppa, MD and Notrie L. Jordan of Bel Air, MD; five grandchildren, Julia Birkmire of Belcamp, MD, Chynna Birkmire of Hayes, NC, Chelsea Birkmire and Brandon Birkmire, both of Belcamp, MD, and Addison Birkmire of Hayes, NC; two nieces, Linda Testerman of Havre de Grace, MD and Patti Jones of Fallston, MD; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
