Opal Gertrude Davis

Opal Gertrude Davis of Forest Hill, MD, died on May 26, 2010 at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt and Vada Newman Maners and wife, for 39 years, of the late Maurice (Bud) Davis. A 1941 graduate of Bel Air High School, she worked for the Harford County Board of Education. A member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Joppa, she enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, Ronald M. Davis and wife, Diane L., of Abingdon, MD; sister, Thelma Rogers of Durham, NC; and grandson, Jonathan M. Davis of Abingdon, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Herbert, Morris, Buford, and Roscoe Maners.
