Oluyinka Adeyinka Adeosun

August 22, 1962 — February 10, 2025

Edgewood

Olusegun Adeyinka Adeosun, age 62, of Edgewood, Maryland, passed away on February 10, 2025, at Franklin Square Hospital in Rosedale, Maryland. Born in Oyo State, Nigeria, he was the beloved son of Emmanuel Adebola Bolaji Adeosun & Comfort Iyabo Adediji, and a devoted husband of Oluwakemi Adeosun. Adeyinka was a man of discipline, perseverance and dedication. 

With a strong passion for mathematics, Yinka excelled in his field and built an impressive career, holding multiple high-level clearance positions. He served diligently in the Department of Commerce, the Department of Defense, and ultimately, the Department of Treasury as a senior IT specialist.

He was a proud alumnus member of the Nigerian Bulgarian Old Students and remained actively engaged with his fellow alumni throughout his life. Yinka was also a dedicated member of the Mutual Investments Club, Buccaneers Confraternity, Brothers Across Nigeria (BAN), Oshogbo Progressive Union, and a valued member of Buddies group.

Beyond his professional and community involvement, Oluyinka had many other passions. He loved playing tennis, enjoyed football, cycling, and reading- always seeking knowledge and adventure. A dedicated Baltimore Ravens fan, he never missed an opportunity to cheer for his team.

Above all, Yinka’s greatest joy was his family. He cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren, always placing them at the center of his heart. His life serves as a testament to the power of hard work, faith, and an unyielding spirit.  

In addition to his wife, Yinka is survived by his daughters, Oluwaseun Apata, and Bridget Adeosun; Son, Toriolaoluwa Adeosun; grandchildren, Ayobami Apata, Olufisayo Apata. Adeyinka will also be remembered by his siblings, extended family and close friends. 

Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
