OLEVIA “DEADIE” KLOETZER, age 83, of Fallston, died in Manor Care Health Services in Ruxton on December 24, 2004. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Richard H. Keech and Bessie J. Byrd Blackburn, and the wife for 51 years of the late Charles William Kloetzer. She was active in the United Methodist Church at Sudbrook, the United Methodist Church in Pikesville, MD and the Fallston United Methodist in Fallston, MD. She had been a Sunday school teacher for more than 20 years, was an active church volunteer, and was a member of U.M.W. Circle for 50+ years. She was a longtime member of D.A.O. a social club and she volunteered at Fallston Hospital/ Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for over ten years. She was a 1940 graduate of Forest Park High School. Her various occupations included working at Bendix radio crystal production during WW II, working as a telephone operator/ receptionist for the Baltimore Orioles; working as a receptionist for a Baltimore car dealer; and working as a secretary for a pediatrician.
Mrs. Kloetzer is survived by one son, Robert C. Kloetzer and his wife, Vickey of New Market, Virginia; two granddaughters, Elizabeth J. Kloetzer of Abingdon; Sarah L. Kloetzer of Abingdon; and one great-granddaughter, Mikayala E. Sipes of Abingdon. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her step-father, Mayford A. Blackburn.
