Ola Gay Wampler, age 85, of Edgewood, MD passed away peacefully on December 19, 2011 at home with her family by her side. Mrs. Wampler was born in Davenport, VA. She was the daughter of the late Cummings & Ada Ball, beloved wife of the late Charles Wampler and devoted mother to the late Yvonne Wampler. Mrs. Wampler came to Harford County, MD in 1942 and met and married Charles Wampler in 1944. She worked at the Gleneagles sewing factory in Bel Air, MD and was a faithful member of Welcome Home Baptist Church in Bel Air, MD. She received Christ as her savior at age 17. She loved the Lord and was always in pray for the lost. She enjoyed family, gardening, sewing, cooking and reading. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Alvin Wampler of South Dakota, and Douglas Wampler of Belcamp, MD; daughter Judy Wampler-Blackburn of Edgewood, MD; grandmother of Sheila Wampler, Scot Wampler and Stephanie Philippe and a great-grandmother of Corey Wampler and Brett Philippe.
Pallbearers included Steve Wampler, Ray Fender, Scott Philippe, Zachary Philippe, Christopher Philippe, Brett Philippe and Richard Cole.
