Norman Ray Liles

February 20, 1944 — January 17, 2008

NORMAN RAY LILES, age 63, of Aberdeen, MD, died on January 17, 2008 at Perry Point VA Hospital in Perry Point, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of Sophia Aleene May Liles of Aberdeen, MD and the late Walter Ray Liles. He retired from the U. S. Air Force after 20 years of service where he traveled to Korea, Panama, and was in Vietnam during that conflict. He enjoyed hunting, target shooting, and photography.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Phillip M. Liles and his wife, Cherie L., of Martinsville, VA and Braven Blackwell of Beaver Creek, OH; two brothers, Charles W. Liles of Hampton, VA and Jeffrey B. Liles of PA; a sister, Katherine L. Trexler of Hopewell, VA; and three grandchildren, Danny L. Simpson of Beaver Creek, OH, Cody Liles and Aaliyah Liles, both of Martinsville, VA. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers, Gary Lee Liles and Billy Joe Liles.
