Norman Paul Rose, age 89, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on December 21, 2008. Born in Perman, KY, he was the son of the late John Franklin Rose and Amy Lou Pruitt Rose. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving our country during WWII. He was the owner and operator of Rose's Body Shop in Churchville, from which he retired after 12 years. Norman was a great sportsman and enjoyed hunting, crabbing and fishing for many years before he became disabled. He was a member of the American Legion Post #47 and the DAV-MD 15. In the 1950's, he was a member of NASCAR and drove a race car for many years.
Mr. Rose is survived by his loving wife of 56 ½ years, Clarissa Bechtold Rose and his three children who he was so proud of; Diana Lynn Caudill of Havre de Grace, MD; Norma Rose Clarke and her husband, Ric, of Annapolis, MD, Paul Franklin Rose Sr. and his wife, Cindy, of Dover, DE; three grandsons, Chris Turner of Havre de Grace, MD, Paul Rose II and his wife, Nichole, of Pocomoke City, MD and David Clarke and wife, Elaine, of Aberdeen, MD; three great-grandchildren, Kalib, Peyton, and Reagan; former son-in-law, Ken Turner of Aberdeen, MD; brother-in-law, J. Ralph Bechtold and wife, Phyllis, of Zephyr Hills, FL; and favorite nephew, H. Roy Conover and wife, Judy, of Cedarville, OH. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters; four brothers; and son-in-law, M. Keith Caudill.
