Norman Lee Curry

January 24, 1931 — February 20, 2004

NORMAN LEE CURRY, age 73, of Bel Air, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center of February 20, 2004. Born in Decatur, Georgia, he was the son of the late Pembroke Roland and Norma Mary Elizabeth Kershaw Curry. He had retired after 30 years of service from AT&T where he worked as a district manager. A resident of Bel Air’s Glenwood area since 1969, he was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church since coming to Bel Air. He was a 30 year member of Maryland Golf and Country Club and a member of Georgia Tech Alumni Association. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant in the infantry during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Curry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jerry Lee Curry; one brother, Col. P.R. Curry, Jr. of Vienna, Virginia; one sister, Joyce Curry Bracy of Marietta, Georgia; four nephews Dr. Charles H. Calhoun, III of Ponte Verda Beach, Florida; Ricky Calhoun of Colorado; Randy Calhoun of Texas; Chip Graham of Gainsville, Florida; two nieces, Judy Calhoun Alstrom of Georgia; Sally Bell of Tallahassee, Florida; and an aunt, Eloise Graham of Gainsville, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chesapeake Cancer Alliance, 520 Upper Chesapeake Drive, Bel Air, Maryland 21014.
